Maintaining!

Hey everyone!

Yes, this time of year is super tough! I have eating SOOOOOO many treats this past week that I know are so bad for me. My stomach is starting to feel it again and some of my jeans are a bit snug. YIKES!!!! Okay, I made it through this week and now it is time to move on!

I was able to get a 5 mile run in on Tuesday (which just about killed me!) and another 3 miles today. So 8 miles Christmas week is not too shabby. Next week my goal will be a little higher with some weight training included.

My next goal.
I have decided that I have to ALWAYS have a goal or I will slack on the exercise and healthy eating. My husband and I have decided that we are going to do our next marathon in May and another one in September. Then in between we will do some 5ks and 10ks. I love having something to look forward to and reach for.

I am going to start writing down my points again, which I have not done in WEEKS!! I want to be accountable for what I put in my body.

I hope you all have a GREAT week!!

Tuesday.........

Okay, this morning I forced myself out of bed again at 5:30 am. I went to the gym and rode the bike for 1/2 an hour on level 4, doing 90 mph. Then I decided to do the Elliptical for 15 minutes. After that I did about 50 crunches. I was not feeling it as much today as I was on Monday. I came home after my workout and was a major grump. Hopefully my body will get used to doing this again.

I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far. We decorated sugar cookies last night and I think I ate half the batch! I love this time of year but I am so ready for the temptations to be out of my house. My husband & 2 daughters are doing "sugar free" in 2010. They will have minimal sugar during the week and then can have all the sugar they want on Friday nights. They did this in 2007 and it was great for them. I am not able to commit to anything SUGAR FREE. Sorry!! I gotta have my white, sweet, candy fix!!

Do it NOW!!!

Do not wait to start on your way to a healthier YOU!!! Yes, this is the time of year to eat lots of yummies & goodies but why not throw in some exercise, too? I wish I would have started doing that years ago instead of just this year!! This weekend we did a lot of our Christmas baking and I enjoyed every last drop!!!! You can still have a great season without depriving yourselves, just make some changes like adding a glass of water, etc.

This morning I decided I wanted to get up at 5:30 am to exercise for 1 hour. Well, the alarm went off and I hit snooze. As I was about to fall back to sleep the radio kept making weird noises on my alarm clock (which means I hit something else when I hit snooze). I took that as a sign that I needed to get my bootie out of bed and just do it!!! I made it to the gym by 5:45 and then ran for 5 miles on the treadmill (my goal was 2!) Then I did 5 different upper body machines for 3 sets of 10 reps. I really need to tone up my flabby arms again!!!

I hope you are all having a fabulous day and I just want you to know that you are worth it!!!! Just do it!!

Greetings!

Yes, I know it has been over 2 months since I have updated My Pink Loser. I am so sorry about that!!! I will do better in the future. I promise!!!

My family went on a Disney Cruise 2 weeks ago and I ate a TON of good food but I remembered to run on the ship. It felt so good to exercise when I knew I wasn't eating right. Here is a pic of me in the Bahamas.

Today is Friday and so far I have only ran one day and it was for 4 miles. I also weighed in at Weight Watchers and I am still in my Lifetime range. I weighed 124.2. I remember this time last year and I didn't really care what I put in my body. At least this year I am conscious of that even though I am still enjoying the goodies.

Hope you all have a great day!

Last weeks stats!

Hey guys!

Well, I have to tell you that it was pretty hard starting to run again after my marathon. I was sore for almost an entire week! The first time I ran was last Monday and I was able to do 3 miles! Then I took a couple of days off and ran 4 miles on Thursday! My foot had been hurting for the week after my marathon and was continuing to bother me so I went and had an xray on Friday. The doc said that it was fine and so I could continue to run. I achieved my goal of 8 miles on Saturday morning!! GO ME!!!

This week I am going to try to exercise at least 5 times. I am going to run 5 miles today, 6 miles on Wednesday, 4 miles on Thursday and then we have a 5K on Saturday. Tomorrow I am going to do something else, like the bike.

Hope you all are doing great!!

Also, at my last WW meeting I was 125.6. I have gained some weight back but I really took the entire week off from working out or eating right. This week is going to be better!! I hit Lifetime at WW 2 weeks ago!!

Marathon Pics!

Hi Everybody!!!

It seems like it has been forever since I've updated this blog! Life has been sooo crazy! I wanted to post some pics from the Top of Utah Marathon that me and my DH ran on September 19th. It was an experience of a lifetime. I ran it in 4 hours and 31 minutes! Not bad for a first timer!!

Here I am with my new Gypsy on the plane. I just got this the day before and was so excited to take it with me on my trip. For those of you who don't know, the G is the new Iphone of the scrapbooking market!!

Here I am ready to go in my cute new pink outfit! I found this the day before at Target. The pants were so super comfy for the run. Great choice of clothing! I did have to take off the long sleeve shirt before the run even though it was freezing!

I had this shirt specially made for this marathon so that when my blog viewers saw me they would yell out "Go Pink Stamper!" Unfortunately I didn't hear that my entire run but I knew they were all there in spirit!

I had to take a pic by the bus, right? After all, I am a scrapbooker first! We rode on this bus for around 45 minutes to drop us off at the starting place up in the canyon. I couldn't believe I was going to have to run down that long stretch!

Here I am with my cute running partner..... my husband! It was so fun to train with him for the past 3 months. We have a great new hobby that we can do together since I can't seem to drag him into my scrapbooking room and I'm not really interested in football!

I did it!!! I am an official Marathon Runner!! I cannot even believe it. It still feels like a dream. 26.2 miles is a loooooooooong distance and I ran most of it with a smile on my face. It was the coolest experience ever! We had such a blast that we are already talking about doing it again next year. We must be nuts!!

I was so very blessed to have been able to get a massage after in the massage tent. The lady that was giving it to me couldn't believe that I would fly all the way from Oklahoma just to run a marathon! The massage was very relaxing but kind of painful, too, since every muscle in my body was on fire!

So....... would I recommend doing a marathon???? You betcha, I would!! It was the best experience I have had in my life next to childbirth and joining my church. What an incredible thing to accomplish in my lifetime. If any of you would like to do it, I will support you 100%. Just shoot me an e-mail anytime you have any questions!

Blessings to you all and thanks for your support!!

20 Miles!!!!

So my DH and I had a goal of 20 miles this past Saturday AND WE DID IT!!! The last mile was the hardest. My legs almost wouldn't move themselves and my toes were killing me. I found that I had more endurance than I had 2 weeks ago when we ran 18 miles. I honestly cannot believe that I ran 20 miles in 3 hours 24 minutes!! That is like a total miracle!! If someone would have told me 7 months ago that I would be running a marathon in 8 months I would have told them that they were crazy..... BUT we are doing it and we are right on track!!!!

Here is a pic of me from 2 Sundays ago.
